Descripción: Implementar, desarrollar y mantener los sistemas de información de la empresa gestionando eficazmente los recursos y la infraestructura, de tal manera que permitan proveer servicios informáticos de alta disponibilidad, seguridad y confiabilidad.
Principales Funciones:
  • Dirigir y supervisar la formulación y evaluación del Plan Estratégico de Tecnología de Información, proponiendo las políticas y normas referidas al ámbito informático, coordinando y estableciendo las prioridades para su ejecución
  • Liderar la implementación de proyectos del área.
  • Supervisar y controlar los servicios de soporte técnico para los usuarios internos que permitan mantener la continuidad operativa de su equipo y servicios tecnológicos.
  • Dirigir las actividades de mantenimiento preventivo y correctivo de los equipos y supervisar el control de las garantías presentadas por los proveedores.
  • Supervisar el control de la actualización de los equipos y sistemas operativos y de procesamiento automático de datos, recomendando modificaciones y ampliaciones de los mismos.
  • Dirigir los mecanismos de comunicación informática de las Sucursales, redes de información, entre otros.
  • Mantener actualizado el diagrama de configuración de las redes de comunicación de la Institución considerando todas sus partes y tipos de enlaces.

The PM is a highly skilled professional with extensive project management experience, operating at multiple levels within both the customer and ALU organizations. The PM is responsible for successfully planning and executing complex customer contracts on time, on scope on budget improving profitability, ensuring quality execution and customer stratification. They will also drive project team and manage the customer relationship in the scope of the contract.
Description
The overall objective for this position is to ensure all business requirements are managed correctly and deliverables are implemented on time and budget.
The incumbent should ensure all parties involved in project(s), both internally and externally, are fully aware of the requirements and the correct project controls, milestones and reporting tools are present at all stages of the customer integration lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities / Functions
  • Maintaining a project plan (MSProject), update progress and focus on critical path deliverables
  • Allocate tasks and priorities as needed
  • Follow up on project costs and ensure expenses are within budget.
  • Modify/adapt Project Management Plan for specific projects
  • An understanding of P&L / WBS structures
  • Lead regular status update calls on program as required
  • Organize project meetings, reviews and updates
  • Manage risks and changes as required
  • Set up corrective action plan to manage risks mitigation.
  • Manage tactical contingency plans
  • Manage/provide issue resolution within ALU
  • Provide regular status reports to joint project team as well as joint management team
  • Respond to scope creep by immediately escalating modifications to the project scope
  • Provide the necessary Project Metrics
  • Work closely with project stream leaders to ensure transformation plans and processes are in place
  • Participate in the preparation of Steering Committee Meetings
  • Participate in the running of project workshops and training sessions
  • Ensure appropriate change management and business process management approaches and control mechanisms are deployed to ensure sustainability of implementation
    • 5 years of project management and Deployment experience with Large Transversal Projects
    • Experience of working within a multi-cultural environment
    • Understanding of financial terms and concepts to support IT Gate documentation/business case
    • Excellent oral and written communication / presentation skills
    • Languages English required
    • Ability to work with and communicate to a variety of audiences, executive level/peer-to-peer/ subordinate/ technical and non-technical etc.
    • Some international Travel required

    Responsible for leading the Software Development Department in the Dominican Republic. Work includes to select, train, manage and correct a team of Software Developers and Business Analysts in the Dominican Republic to support Truenorth software operations working towards delivering reliable software and delivering projects on time and budget.
    Responsibilities:
    • Represent Truenorth as the Manager of the Software Unit in the Dominican Republic with all the duties, responsibilities and authority the position implies in compliance with Truenorth Policies and Processes and Local Dominican Republic Laws.
    • Work with Truenorth HR personnel to execute Truenorth’s Hiring Process to attract and select the most capable software developers to work in our unit in the Dominican Republic.
    • As part of Truenorth’s Management Team, ensure our Targets are met, assist coordination meetings as necessary, provide excellent leadership and followership.
    • Manage the production and work pressure of the Software Development Unit ensuring high production, spirit the corps and morale.
    • Learn and apply the Truenorth Coding Standards, especially the SCRUM and Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS) components. Understand and apply the Truenorth Code Point methodology tool set.
    • Manage a team of Developers and corresponding Business Analyst in the process of software development using Truenorth’s Coding Standards which include SCRUM and the use of Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS) in support of the Microsoft Software Stack.
    • Together with DR office Business Analyst, receive business requirements and tasks from Truenorth Management and interpret, clarity and assign these tasks for prompt processing to a team of developers.
    • Design software solutions according to business and functional requirements in compliance with Truenorth’s Coding Standards.
    • Responsible for analysis of current programs including performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting of problem programs, and designing solutions to problematic programming.
    • Manage the Sprints of the Software Development Team and ensure sound velocity with good quality.
    • Ensure that Lead Developers of given projects conduct the quality control activities to review the programming work of the Developers, and that the Business Analyst conducts the agreed quality assurance activities prior to submitting to the client (either internal or external).
    • Demonstrate an expert understanding of data design, and complex data access and data manipulation techniques.
    • Meets programming standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
